North Carolina general and highway funds collected $49,945,630.86 in the last six months of 1945, a 15.47 percent rise from 1944. Highway funds led with $19,578,133.52 driven by higher motor vehicle use, while the general fund climbed on income and sales taxes totaling $30,367,497.34.
