Ford Signs Public Broadcasting Bill and Other Actions
President Ford signed a 624 million five year bill for the Public Broadcasting Corp and vetoed a measure to add Treasury Secretary membership to the National Security Council. He also approved a Medicare premium increase and a 64 billion Energy Research and Development Administration authorization, plus emergency relief for small businesses and a repeal of meat import limits with Canada.
