Longs Return To Power In Louisiana
Earl Long led in the Louisiana Democratic runoff for governor with 239,198 votes to Sam Jones 135,538 across 1 065 precincts. The result signals a strong Long comeback and likely election in a Democratic stronghold. Huey Longs widow said Huey would be proud of the victory for the people. Russell Long supported Earl and may run for office soon. The Long regime aims to outdo its predecessor in action though perhaps not in showmanship.

Tips for Teens: Manners at the table and etiquette rules
Elinor Williams urges teens to avoid public bad manners at meals. Do not boast about fullness or pressure to eat more. Remove gloves before eating, never comb hair at the table, and keep hair and debris away from food. Hold utensils properly and lay them across the plate when not in use. For party ideas, write to Elinor Williams with a stamped self addressed envelope.
