Weather recedes tornado toll as North Carolina clears
After two tornadoes struck Fayetteville and nearby areas, North Carolina expects clear, cold weather. A high pressure system from the Gulf of Mexico moves in, with winds 15 to 25 mph inland and 20 to 30 mph along the coast. Tonight lows in the 20s to near 30s, sunny and continued cold Wednesday, little precipitation. Offshore winds ease, and temperatures rise only modestly across the region.
