Greenwich Village shop designers create avant garde outfits
John Holton Jr and James Wells design hats and dresses in a small Greenwich Village shop at 193 W 4th St. They gained a following with simple clean late twenties inspired lines and now offer hats dresses and neckpieces with hand-made finishing. Paula Prentiss wore their outfits on tour for Man's Best Sport and modeled them at a Fifth Avenue hotel. The shop opens noon to eight daily except Sunday and carries Victorian furnishings and imported fabrics.
