Tow to Bermuda Underway for Nova Scotia With 212 Aboard

The Furness liner Nova Scotia, with 212 passengers and crew aboard, was towed from near Bermuda by the Eastern Prince after losing its propeller. The Eastern Prince, which sped 110 miles to assist, reported fine weather and that the Nova Scotia would be taken to a nearby port, likely Jacksonville Savannah or Charleston. Other vessels turned back after receiving the SOS as the tow began.

Prisoner Paul Redfern Reported Alive in Guiana Mountains

Alfred Harrold and Art Williams claimed they found Paul Redfern alive in the Tumae Humae mountains of western British Guiana.
