Market Rises After Three-Day Slump On Wall Street

The Dow Jones average rose 5.27 to 165.84 after a three session decline. Trading on the NYSE picked up as investors bought the dip with Pan American World Airways leading activity at 74.34, while the composite NYSE index gained 23. The American Stock Exchange value index rose 18 to 100.31. JPMorgan faced an offering of 2 million common shares and $150 million in 10-year notes, pricing lower.
