Airman Donald G. Farrell, 23, from the Bronx, spent seven days in a sealed space cabin at Randolph AFB. He said anyone could have done the same and reported minimal discomfort aside from inability to whistle. He was monitored by researchers, observed by microphone, and marked day and night by calendar. He lost four pounds during the test before heading to New York for media appearances.
