Hunt Seeks Mandatory Heating Limits for NC Retailers
Gov. Jim Hunt announced a plan to require retail businesses in North Carolina to heat interiors for no more than 48 hours weekly at 62 degrees and keep thermostats at or below 55 degrees at other times. He seeks 54 hours weekly by voluntary agreement, with enforcement via spot checks and misdemeanor penalties for noncompliance.

Solar Heated School Nears Opening in Goldsboro
