Woman challenges Dixie baronetcy under new law
Eleanor Dixie, daughter of the late Sir Wolstan Dixie, argues to inherit her father’s Dixie baronetcy as Britain’s heraldic rule faces a potential clash with the Sex Discrimination Act. Officials note succession is not covered by the act, while American suitors and a royal college of arms stance complicate the case. Eleanor runs a restaurant near Bosworth Park as she pursues the title.
