National Guard to Receive Rear Area Duty Assignments

Army officials say four National Guard divisions federalized last year and two new ones will likely be given non combat rear area duties as training and equipping them for field operations takes months. Training progress remains two thirds complete with company and battalion readiness but regimental and division level operations require field exercises and more time.
