Mrs. Robert H. Walker hosted an Over-the-Teacups gathering at West Farriss avenue to honor Mrs. C. T. Ingram about to embark on a South American cruise. A three course luncheon preceded bridge, with prizes awarded to Mrs. R. B. Terry and Mrs. C. M. Waynick.
Miss Marian Elliott and Mrs. Robert Cook hosted a springtime bridge gathering at Gibson club rooms on North Main to honor Miss Mildred Furgurson whose marriage to Ed win C Rankin Jr is planned for early spring. Six tables competed with top score going to Mrs John Jennings and second to Miss Patricia Hall amid yellow and white flowers and a lingerie shower for the honoree.
The Y W C A board at Wesley Memorial church regrets lack of space after three new girls clubs sought meeting quarters. Hut rooms are in use every night except Sunday, prompting discussion on urgent plans to expand facilities. President Mrs Carter Dalton presided as committees reported heightened activity.
Mrs. Sam Tobias entertained the High Point Council of Jewish Women study group at her Parkway home. Mesdames Joe Barr Phillip Silver and Miss Sarah Herman led the current events program followed by a round table discussion. Mrs. Ben Swartzberg chaired and plans for next month were discussed. Twenty members attended with refreshments served.
In a recent phase of YWCA work there was good membership turnout despite the bad weather, reflecting solid participation during the past month.

Mrs Jessie Dean Ivey Mrs J W Harriss and Miss Mary Lamb travel for events to Miami and Charleston. Others visit relatives in Tampa Davidson College dances and doctors appointments amid family updates on illness and recuperation.
Mrs C B Overman hosted the Entre Nous club at her Lindsay street home for a delightful afternoon. Spring flowers decorated the rooms as Boston rook was played at three tables with tallies highlighting the floral theme. A salad plate with sweets followed game play for the group including Club members and four guests.
The Junior Mousie Lovers club of Miss Florence Blair will meet Saturday at 3 PM at the home of Mrs. Bertha Sheeisz. Hostesses are Sara Sloan Ray and Jean Sheetz.
The Emerywood Country Club hosts a February evening bridge party at the clubhouse starting at 8. Mr and Mrs Rodney Snow are hosts with several tables already reserved. Additional reservations will be accepted until 6 this evening per the club announcement.

One of America's most famous women Cornelia Otis Skinner was the subject of a paper presented by Mrs H D Sears yesterday afternoon when the Tea and Topics club met at the home of Mrs B S Coe on Hillcrest drive. Mrs Sears outlined the life of Otis Skinner and read selections from Dithers and Jitters. Refreshments followed for four visitors and several club members.
Mrs. R. K. Stewart, district director of Piedmont Garden Clubs, will address the Salisbury Garden Club at its afternoon meeting at the home of Mrs. Jacob Miller. She will speak on district club activities and will stay overnight with her sister Mrs. W. F. Ellis in Salisbury before returning to High Point tomorrow.
