Army Sgt. Gordon Casanova of River Edge sent daily letters to his fiancée Marianne Astegher during 13 months in Vietnam. He decorated envelopes with drawings and messages. at Hackensack Post Office clerks mailed them home nightly to Marianne. The 100 clerks cheered the couple as Casanova returned, and Marianne said she would decide about their wedding plans.

Gas Fire Burns Four Seriously at Aurora Station
A fuel spill during unloading at an Aurora filling station sparked a gasoline fire that seriously burned four people. H. C. Fewer Dropouts Indicated by State Survey
