Woman killed as Eastern Air Lines crash lands at LaGuardia
A Miami to New York Eastern Air Lines plane overshot the LaGuardia runway in a rainstorm and plunged into Flushing Bay. One passenger, Mrs. J M Scully, 49, died. Ten passengers and three crew members suffered injuries but survived, with Cecelia Durham the only one treated for bruises and shock.
