Debate topic to frame North Carolina school term plan
Chapel Hill December 26. The High School Debating Union selects the principal question for 1926: whether North Carolina should levy a state property tax to fund an eight month school term. Rankin announces the preferred query after a statewide vote by 139 of 314 high schools with six alternative questions receiving smaller support. The contest leads to triangle debates and a final Aycock memorial cup contest at the University.
