Box Of Osceola Bones Locked In Bank Vault
Otis Shiver locked away a welded steel box claimed from Osceola grave at Ft Moultrie in January 1966. He says the box contains interior bricks and other remains and plans to return them to the Seminole tribe, while officials note the remains have decomposed. The Seminole leader Osceola died in 1838 and his great great grandson Johnny Osceola pressed for custody.
