First Hours Of Weekend See 7 Die In North Carolina
The first hours of the Christmas weekend bring seven deaths on North Carolina highways. Ice and slick roads contributed as 86 year old Harrison Miller died near Glendale Springs and two Raleigh teens perished after their car left a curve. Five more lives were lost in fires and other accidents as the national tally rose during the 78 hour period running from 6 p m Friday to midnight Monday.

Shipwrecked crewmen spend Christmas with families
