Dr James H Hilton Named 1948 Man of Year in NC Agriculture
Dr James H Hilton dean of the State College School of Agriculture and director of the North Carolina Experiment Station is chosen by The Progressive Farmer as 1948 Man of the Year in Service to North Carolina Agriculture. Hilton, born 1900 in Catawba county, helped lift cash farm income from livestock and developed dairy and livestock programs at Purdue and NC State.
