Five Hurt In Seaboard Train Wreck At Suffolk
Norfolk Virginia December 23 five persons remained in Lakeview hospital Suffolk described as doing very well after a freight locomotive rear ended the Norfolk section of the Seaboard cotton States Special and Sun Queen injuring eight. Those hospitalized include Mrs W M Eaton Mrs P A Derring Lelia Barnes Julius Holt and Charles Tibbs. Others treated and released were J A Givens Pearlie Kelly and H A Edwards. The wreck occurred near 434 pm ahead of two coaches and a damaged pullman derailed. C H Sauls Seaboard general manager said an investigation would be conducted and traffic was resumed once the track was cleared.

Quads Born To Couple In Baltimore
In Baltimore Charles Henn and his British wife Dorothy Geast welcomed quadruplets three boys and a girl after a wartime marriage in England. The births occurred at St Agnes hospital with present plans for names as the family expands. Doctors noted the quads weigh about four pounds each and are in incubators with the mother in good condition.

Eugene Talmadge is to be buried in Oak Grove cemetery near Mcrae Georgia after winning a fourth term as governor but dying before taking office. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church where he was a member. The governor elect died Saturday in Atlanta after a three month illness.
