Charles W. Hampton a 32 year old night watchman at the Southern Veneer plant was found dead in his car at the Liberty Drive plant Yesterday at 7 am. Coroner Dr Durmont Lohr ruled carbon monoxide poisoning based on Baptist hospital blood test results in Winston-Salem and noted Hampton had likely been dead about four hours. Deputy Keiffer Morris said the car heater was off and the motor was running when discovered by Marcelle Burton who arrived for work.
