The Birthday Gift by Sarah Walton Miller will be presented Sunday at 7:30 pm by the Young People of Oak View Baptist Church under director Mrs. W H Holladay. The program is open to the public.
The Rev. W. J. Wolverton announces two holy communion services at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church. The Christmas Eve service is set for 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and the special Christmas service follows at 10:30 a.m. on Christmas Day.
A special service is planned for 3 pm Sunday at St Matthews Holiness Church on Meredith Street. Evangelist Sister Marie Gardner is to preach.
The junior handbell choir of First Baptist Church on N Main Street will perform seasonal carols at the 11 a m worship service tomorrow. Don Cavin leads a 9:45 a.m. discussion on The Hallelujah Chorus of the Angels, followed by an 11 a.m. worship where Youth speakers present To Make Him Known. At 7:30 p.m. the choir performs The Miracle of Love cantata by James Moffatt, celebrating God’s miracle.

Peterson Sunday at 7 30 p m The narrator is Ronald Bowen with soloists Candy Appel and Julia Bowen Also featured are a duet by Edith Blair and Terry and a trio by Terry Blair David Garner and Charles Moore
Vickrey United Methodist Church will stage the Christmas cantata Night of Miracles by W. Peterson during the 11 a.m. worship service tomorrow with Lorraine Moore directing. Soloists include Mary Anderson Johnny Mitchell Jerry Haney Rahlo Leonard. The church children’s program is at 7 p.m. tonight.
An adult Christmas pageant Of Royal Birth will be presented Sunday at 7 30 p m at Mt Zion Wesleyan Church. The Biblical production features Horace Sink Nellie Jo Sink Sandra Ashburn Randy Ashburn Wilbur Sechrist Sherrill Hughes Richard Campbell Dannie Bell Cletus Coley Devo Myers and Glenn Coley Grubb with stage lighting by Dan Waisner Lawrence Miller and Opal Dorsett.
