North Carolina Legion eyes record growth in 1926 drive
The American Legion and North Carolina posts launch a national and departmental campaign to enroll more veterans. Jambes post Louisburg reports seven new members in a year. Hornets Nest Charlotte claims it has surpassed last year’s 425 and aims for a thousand. High Point, Sanford, Salisbury, Washington, and Warsaw posts rally, with officials urging ex service men to enroll. Department leaders stress continued outreach and plan a February officers conference headlined by National Commander John R. McQuigg.
