Plane crashes into Sevilla crowd killing 21

A light plane chartered by a Madrid magazine struck telephone lines and plunged into a crowd at the Sevilla city entrance. At least 21 people were killed and more than 100 injured as residents gathered for a motorcade delivering 250000 dollars worth of clothing and food for flood victims.

Plane crash near Hickory injures Navy officer

A Navy lieutenant was injured with a minor head cut when her small twin engine private plane crash landed in heavy woods near Lenoir North Carolina. The plane burned after the emergency landing. Authorities identified the pilot as Lt. Vernon DeHart stationed at Patuxent River Maryland. DeHart did not disclose flight plan or cause of crash though officers said fuel exhaustion was suspected.

Barbara Never Gave Up

Barbara Hipke, 28, flew from Libya where she was a U S Air Force teacher to New York for a Monday wedding with 24 year old Air man J C Kenneth Driskill. He missed the ceremony due to bad weather and canceled flights. Barbara plans to travel to Milwaukee to wait for Driskill at her parents home in New Holstein Wisconsin and marry there. She paid $1500 in travel and shipment costs after breaking her Air Force contract.
