German murderer Haarmann sentenced to death in Germany
Fritz Haarmann, the Hanover butcher known as the wholesale murderer who confessed to slaying 24 to 26 youths over six years, was condemned to death along with accomplice Hans Grans. The trial revealed grisly details of decapitation, blood consumption claims, and bodies disposed of in the river Leine. Haarmann testified he could not remember exact victims and showed no remorse, while Grans was found guilty of inciting murder and aiding Haarmann.
