Deep South school orders for immediate desegregation
The Supreme Court ordered six Deep South counties to begin immediate steps toward full student desegregation while it weighs a Feb deadline. The six counties include East Feliciana and West Feliciana Parishes in Louisiana, Concordia Parish Louisiana, Burke Chimty Georgia, Mobile County Alabama, and Marshall County Holly Springs Mississippi.
