Fire Brought Under Control Near Puerto Rico
The Coast Guard reported a fire aboard the tanker SS Fensal about 2770 miles from Puerto Rico. The U S merchant ship 88 William Shimphrey stood by the stricken vessel as cutters were dispatched from San Juan and expected to arrive by midafternoon.
Magic Key Club Hosts Husbands at Christmas Party
Members of the Magic Key Garden Club held a Christmas party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Mendenhall Jr. on Saturday evening.
