Next events include a December 20 Christmas party and January tea for Pilot Life Insurance workers.
New York report describes direct and indirect television projection methods for theater sizes. The direct system uses a high voltage tube and reflecting lens to enlarge images on screens 15 by 20 feet or larger, requiring at least 80,000 volts. The indirect system photographs the received image on motion picture film, develops it instantly, and projects it, reducing the delay to seconds.
The Garden Gate club held a Christmas luncheon yesterday at Emerywood Country Club with hostesses Mesdames Cecil Wilcox J R Adams and Fred Pope. Twenty one covers included three new members Mesdames N R Craven P C McLain and A H Holton. Gifts exchange highlighted the afternoon followed by three bridge tables with prizes for Mrs Wilcox and Mrs Holton. Decorations featured silvered greenery and red white candles in the private dining room.
