Undecided Georgia lawmakers edge Maddox in governor race
In a Georgia AP sample of 259 legislators 229 are Democrats with Maddox leading Callaway almost four to one. Maddox 36 votes Callaway 10 undecided 34 including 11 Negroes and one who would not vote. Some lawmakers discuss boycotting the joint session to block both candidates. If no decision, Gov. Sanders could remain in office. Election results show Callaway 451,032 Maddox 448,598 Arnall 57,832.
