Son of President Garfield Is Dead

Harry A. Garfield, 79, former president of Williams College and son of President James A. Garfield, died today in Williamstown Massachusetts. A Hiram Ohio native, he graduated from Williams in 1885 and led the college from 1908 for 26 years. He received honorary degrees from Dartmouth Princeton Amherst Wesleyan William and Mary and Whitman College and served as fuel administrator in World War I.

Lumberton Dedicates New Primary School Building

The new primary school in Lumberton, costing about 85000 dollars, was dedicated last night. It is named for the late Joe P. Moore who led the Lumberton public school system for seven years and died in office last May. An oil painting of Moore was presented by the Lumberton School Board.
