Twin kidney donations end in tragedy at Boston hospital
Jimmy Foster aged 14 died two weeks after a twin donor kidney transplant at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. The donor brother Jerry recovered from the operation. Jimmy's birth kidney defect differed from the others in the series where twins donated to their ill siblings. The operation from November 25 involved the Foster brothers from Pocatello Idaho.
