Lightened tax load possible for next year
Budget discussion in New York reports that higher government spending could ease in the next year with cautious optimism from President-elect Nixon and Mills. Prudential predicts GDP at 915 billion next year, and Johnson urges full employment policy use. Banking lending tightens with a quarter-point rate rise amid steady orders in manufacturing and stronger steel and auto production.
