Lamb and Wool Outlook Appears To Be Favorable
RALEIGH The long time outlook for lamb and wool is favorable says State Extension Service specialists who studied the 1953 farm outlook. Lamb prices in 1953 should run moderately above the current level with wool prices higher than 1951. Experts urge diligent sheep management including parasite control by moving sheep to new pastures every three weeks and using worming drugs, plus attention at lambing time. They advise increasing flock numbers and forming new flocks with native or western ewes and mating with registered mutton-type rams.
