Ship-by-truck parade set to roll through twin cities
The ship-by-truck demonstration begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Winston-Salem with about 260 trucks lined up, proceeding through High Point and Greensboro on North Main Street and main arteries. Organizers hope to showcase road quality and truck efficiency versus rail, arguing trucks lower freight costs per ton mile on short hauls.
