Democrats Challenge FEC Ruling on Ford Travel
The Democratic National Committee plans to appeal a Federal Election Commission decision that Ford’s pre 1976 political travel counts as party building. They allege 300000 in travel payments by the National Committee violated campaign laws and say the party will pursue a fair judicial procedure to challenge the ruling. The DNC also aims to raise 4.5 million via its National Finance Council for the 1976 elections.
