Motorists Ignore Hurt Man On Raleigh Beltline

Joseph R. Balint Jr. lay semiconscious for nearly three hours beside the Raleigh Beltline after a motorcycle crash. A passerby finally alerted police. Balint suffered multiple severe injuries and remained in fair condition days later. His wife criticized drivers who did not stop, while the rescuer, Jimmy Kirk, recalled seeing Balint’s bleeding face and helmet as he offered aid.
