Johnson to Move Toward White House After Medal News

President Johnson announced new appointments as he plans to relocate his family on from Georgetown to the White House. Thompson Convicted of Wife Slaying in Minnesota Trial

T Eugene Thompson, 36, was found guilty by a six by six jury of first degree murder for arranging the fatal beating and stabbing of his wife Carol, 64, in their St Paul home. He was sentenced to life in prison and awaits transfer to Stillwater. The state said he killed for love of another woman and more than 1 million in insurance. If appeals fail, he faces potential parole after 17 years with good behavior.

Tight Security Planned for LBJ NY Visit

Police and the Secret Service prepared a tight security plan for President Johnsons New York visit on Sunday.
