Police reported a double tragedy in Anderson with barber derson and his wife killed in a murder suicide this afternoon. Mrs Julia Williams the mother in law was wounded in the arm and chest.
A proposed LSU student mass meeting to discuss the Reveille censorship row was called off after several hundred students crowded into the campus gymnasium at noon today.
Three Chinese restaurant workers were shot dead in a tenement near Manhattan's Chinatown by two Chinese assailants. Police questioned if the killings signal tong warfare.
Washington reports France may challenge North Carolina in aluminum sales. Senator Reynolds of North Carolina, who had an adenoid operation at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, is expected to return to his office next week. He says he will stay in Washington until Congress convenes.

Mrs Ruby Sasser Grice and her brother Donald Grice faced trial in Wayne superior court for a third time on charges of plotting the husband’s death with Rufus Satterfield, who is on death row. A larger Johnston county venire aided jury selection while a prior mis trial prompted juror discipline and sentence reductions for two jurors.
Belgrade claims no Yugoslav troops crossed the Hungarian frontier and denies any mobilization since October 9 the date of King Alexander's assassination. A spokesman says reports of crossing are Hungarian ruses to draw attention from Yugoslavia's League of Nations protest over Hungary's alleged complicity in the murder.

Pat Brown Inc a High Point automobile firm filed an appeal with the Greensboro clerk of court from a judgment in favor of the Emergency National Committee and Code Authority for the Motor Vehicle Retail Trade Judge Gilbert Powell presided. The case arose from a November 25 hearing over alleged failure to provide sales records for code assessments. The court ruled for the plaintiffs.
Japanese naval writers quoted in Tokyo accuse the United States of seeking to build overwhelming naval power for world subjugation. They cite Norman H. Davis in London warning that scrapping the Washington treaty would trigger a costly arms race and endanger peace. A foreign office spokesman reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to ending the Washington treaty and said the decision is fixed by government and public opinion.
At Raleighs state prison three condemned men faced execution. Bascom Green first walked to the death chamber in farewell with his son Lester and son-in-law Rufus Satterfield and R. E. Black. Ministers accompanied the trio as they faced the final moments before death.
In High Point, Sascom G. Green and relatives Lester Green and R. E. Slack were executed by electric chair, marking North Carolina’s first triple execution and the first white father and son to die in the state prison. A fourth planned execution for Jim Greene was halted by a reprieve.
The Safe Deposit Bank and Trust Co of Baltimore contests the proposed division of the Smith Reynolds estate, arguing Maryland courts hold sole jurisdiction over the fortunes of R. J. Reynolds Sr and Mrs Katherine Johnston. The trustees acknowledge the filing but say they are not bound until Maryland reviews the plan, which seeks to divide 25 million dollars among Reynolds heirs and charitable recipients.
