The Salem Book Store offers Moravian style star decorations for $3.78 each, or $3.25 if picked up. The star, developed by Moravian Church members around 1850, is a paper craft with a bulb insert and is described as suitable for all Christians.

Viet Cong and North Vietnamese gunners attacked 37 allied bases and South Vietnamese towns in the heaviest shelling since November 1. Mortar and rocket fire totaled 300 to 400 rounds. 27 South Vietnamese killed, 104 wounded. Attacks spread northwest to north of Saigon, including a hamlet near An Loc. Two U.S. helicopters were shot down, killing eight crewmen. Casualties and damage were light at U.S. bases as artillery and helicopter gun ships returned fire.

The Air Force has already begun releasing 16,127 reservists and guardsmen, including six guard fighter bomber squadrons in Vietnam and Korea, all to be back by June 30.
