University of Michigan survey finds Republicans at a disadvantage in the national election. The study shows 47 percent identify as Democrats versus 27 percent as Republicans, with turnout and turnout dynamics noted. Man Hid In Attic Since Start of Korean War

In South Plainfield New Jersey police found John Krasno 35 living unseen in his attic since June 25 1950 the start of the Korean War. His father William Krasno a Russian immigrant told of the secret and John was taken to Marlboro State Hospital for observation. The elder Krasno says authorities continue the investigation.

Boy Gives Leg Bone To Aid Girl In Rochester

A newspaper boy aged 18 donated an 84 inch bone slice from his leg to support 11 year old Mary Ann Ranney’s leg tumor treatment. The operation occurred on Monday, four hours long, with a successful graft and no early complications.

Five Teens Rescued From Icebox Death Trap

Stockton police freed five 14 year old boys trapped inside a large bakery refrigerator after older youths allegedly locked them in and blocked the door.
