Child Hurt In Auto Wreck Near Cameron
At North Main and Sheraton streets shortly before 1 PM a collision damaged two cars. Four year old Charles Christman, son of Mr and Mrs Kim Christman, was injured likely seriously and suffered a cut over the right eye from flying glass. His wife was bruised. Charlie Adkins of Winston-Salem drove the opposite car. Witnesses say Adkins crossed in front of Christman who had the right of way. Officers Friddle and Morris investigated. no arrests by midafternoon. An unnamed blind man rode with Adkins.

Clarence Strickland a 28 year old mill worker from Neuse Falls sustained a fractured skull when his car was hit by Seaboard passenger train No 12 just south of Neuse seven miles from Wake Forest. A two year old child survived with minor scratches. Strickland remained in the college hospital in care of the physician with expected recovery barring complications.

Charlie Price, a Negro, was found guilty of assault on Louis Underwood, a white man, in police court this morning and fined ten dollars plus costs.
