Chicago deputy coroner Oscar Wolff believes the morgue body is Erdman Olson, sought for Clara Olson’s Prairie du Chien slaying. Borge Burke, longtime Olson family acquaintance, viewed the corpse and asserts it is Olson. Wolff notified the Olson family and they mention a man named George Burke living in Chicago.

Youth Shot on Rabbit Hunt In Stoneville

Thomas Smith 16, son of A W Smith of Stoneville, was in a dying condition from a gunshot said to be fired by Ben Kellam, a hunting companion. The incident occurred at J J Kellam’s home after the hunt. Several boys were in the party and reportedly drinking. Kellam fled with his weapon after the shooting.

Durham woman released on bond in Forsythe murder case

Evelyn Britt, 19, of Durham, co defendant with Robert Sepeak and others, remains free under a $5,000 bond after habeas corpus proceedings. The case centers on the November 24 death of L. G. Forsythe, with coroner and court sparring over arrest warrants and the investigation progress. Forsythe died after riding in Sepeak's car with Britt and Stephenson. authorities suggest blunt force trauma.
