Gardner-Webb College Earns Four Year Accreditation
Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs has received four year senior college accreditation from the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges. The action was taken at the association's Miami meeting on December 1. The Baptist owned college entered the four year field two years ago and graduated its first class this spring. Three hundred fifty graduates completed the spring and summer programs. Dr. E Eugene Poston president and Thomas J McGraw vice president of academic affairs attended the Miami announcement.

Reading Course Teaches Retarded Learners in Davidson County
A college credit course, Reading for the Slow Learner and Mentally Retarded, will be offered in the Davidson County Lexington-Thomasville area by Appalachian State University Extension Division. Ruth Conrad will teach sessions at Davidson County Community College from December 7 to February 22 on Tuesdays 6 to 9 pm, yielding 3 quarter hours credit. Tuition is 33 dollars plus a 10 dollar registration fee for first time ASU students. Interested teachers should contact C. F. Huffman promptly.
