Car Careens Down Hill in Windsor Crash
In Windsor Connecticut a car rammed downhill at 70 to 75 mph smashing into a second car on Broad Street. Driver Cynthia Moran 17 and her 14 year old brother David escaped as crowds fled and Patrolman Robert Christensen halted the runaway by yanking ignition wires. Police say a stuck gas pedal likely caused the incident. Maj. Gen. Alfred A. Kessler Jr. 58, a retired commander of the 4th Air Force, died in San Rafael California.
