William C. Matthews received a new convertible during the mid winter meeting of the Post and Unit Officers Conference of the U S Department of the American Legion in Nashville. The vehicle was one of four prizes in a drawing tied to the recent national Legion convention in Las Vegas. Haworth Elected to National Municipal Judges Board
Judge Byron Haworth of High Point Municipal Court elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Municipal Judges. The Miami meeting, Nov 23–29, included workshops with experts on sentencing, psychiatry in court, and handling alcoholic offenders.
