University of Pennsylvania Tops 6 Year Home Football Attendance
An Associated Press survey shows Penn led the nation in home football attendance from 1938 through 1943 with 2,143,500 at Franklin Field. Ohio State, Southern California, and California follow, while Notre Dame’s road-heavy schedule leaves them lower in the six-year tally. Attendance declines vary by region, with the South posting the largest drop.
