He studied at Albright College and the University of Pennsylvania and previously worked in Reading Pa and Atlanta Ga. He is married with two children and will reside at 503 N Rotary Dr.
U S Paratrooper Neal Stewart achieved a world record by making 124 continuous parachute jumps at Grand Prairie Texas on July 5 1952.
Kansas ranks behind only Montana and Texas in farm land area. The note mentions Hubert Cecil Booth, an English inventor, who developed the vacuum cleaner in 1901.
A Avery County jury acquitted Andrew Ellis of negligence in the hunting death of Perry Eckard. Eckard, a 46 year old from Hickory, died after a reported encounter during a leopard hunt last Saturday morning. Sheriff Fred Banner said Ellis claimed he fired at what he believed was a leopard. The case was heard by coroner Dr. Alfred Rader in Newland.
