Clough Sentenced Eight Years For Bad Check Ring

Thomasville special reports Frank P. Clough, former architect and builder, was sentenced to eight years and one month in Davidson County Superior Court for issuing nine worthless checks totaling hundreds of dollars while operating in Thomasville. A false pretense charge was dropped. Clough, who had firms constructing churches, fled Thomasville weeks earlier and was found working as a motorman in Richmond, Virginia, before being brought back for trial.
