Stockholm dispatch reports King Christian III of Denmark threatening abdication if the Danish government accepts a German ultimatum placing the kingdom under full Nazi military control. Provisions reportedly include siege rules curfew press control and heavy fines for Odense amid rebellion.
Reports from Malmo and Dagens Nyheter indicate a growing German influence in Denmark with halted telegraphic links to Sweden, cancellations of public events, and rumors of plans to appoint a Nazi administrator.
