Qventists Open Offices in High Point North Carolina
The southern headquarters of the Seventh Day Adventists moved to High Point occupying space in the Richardson building on South Elm Street. A Greensboro branch and other subsidiaries were consolidated into the new headquarters. Moving began yesterday and should finish before September first. Five department heads and families relocated, increasing local population and business projections.

Norwegian steamers sunk by submarine off Spanish coast
The Norwegian steamer Kongsli en route from a French port to America was sunk off the Spanish coast, a telegram received in Christiana and forwarded here reports. The Frigua is also said to have been sunk by a German submarine. its crew were saved according to the Norwegian foreign office via an Exchange Telegraph dispatch.

Holder and Moser prepare a new barber shop in the Mills building on South Main street. The four-chair shop will feature chiropody orthopracty bathtubs and a tailoring department finished in marble and tile. J Burt Holder will run the branch with other barbers including C J Smith and F E Lovelace. The preparation follows work by crews and aims for a September opening, while Moser continues at the old stand between the New York cafe and Clinard's.
