High Point Native Taylor to Speak at Central Alliance Church
Central Alliance Church hosts Rev. John F. Taylor, Nyack Missionary College professor of speech and Bible, as guest speaker Sunday at 7 pm. Taylor, a High Point native and former Central Alliance member, will show Southeast Asia travel films, including Buddhist monasteries, villages, a Cambodian rally, and the bombing of an American plane. He recently returned from a 25-country trip covering over 35,000 miles, sabbatical granted from Nyack College to study indigenous church development and missionary work.

Panhandle graduate joins Southern Baptists mission corps
Neil Jones of Panama City Florida, a High Point College graduate, was commissioned as one of the first 20 volunteers in the Southern Baptists Home Mission Board newly formed mission corps. He will spend two years aiding juvenile delinquency ministries in Texas starting in El Paso. The agency plans to reach 50 volunteers by next year as it assigns graduates to strategic areas in the United States, Panama or Puerto Rico.

During Sunday evening worship at Green Street Baptist Panape, guests of Pastor Dr E W Price Jr and his wife will be recognized. students plan to attend High Point College UNC Chapel Hill Wingate NC State Meredith Mars Hill William and Mary Guilford Technical Institute and other institutions. The event begins at 6 30 pm. Also next week the Adult Choir will host an outing at Mrs Robert's home. Twenty Baptist volunteers recently became Southern Baptists mission corps members with two year terms serving Alaska Hawaii Panama and other centers.
